Tuesday 12th May

We did the shoot today! 

It ran rather well! for a whole group of only 3 people. 

O wells. We took random people i found in the canteen as there was too short a notice time.

so i've got 3 of my friends, Jeremy, Paul and one of their friends.

We shot in the TV studio, had to wait before Mr Tay went back from lunch break. so after getting the equipment we went back to the TV studio and set up the set. JY went through the shots with us before we started rehearsing. After a few rehearsals, my friends came in and we did rehearsals with them before starting the actual shoot.

I hope everything will be okay after post. =)

Thursday 7th May

Today we discussed and we have come to a concluding idea.

We have consulted Bertrand and we have to improvise on our idea.


We'll see.

Wednesday 6th May

Today we discussed about our options. We had different ideas and stuff to show for our 2nd assignment. Mine was to do on schools' morning assembly. It is very patriotic and suits the theme. However it was not workable as schools do not have morning assembly during this period since swine flu has been around and people are advised to be apart and try not to congregate.

So we had another idea. Spot strong lighting on different people while they say the pledge.

But it isnt workable either. So we will meet and come up with something different then.

Monday 4th May

Today we didnt do much. We just watched through all of the footage taken by every group. It was super cool to see everyone had such different interpretations of a simple brief given to us. I felt that our group was not very creative in our interpretation. But it doesnt really matter since we are gonna be graded on our technical skills. I think.

O yes. and we were briefed on our 2nd assignment. Hopefully everything turns out fine.

Tuesday 28th April

Whoo! today we learnt quite a bit! super to the max. okay. finally we know a lil more about lighting and now we know another way other than 3 point lighting. wow.

We were split into a few groups. 4 i think.. we each got out some equipment and went to different areas to work at. My group went to the 5th floor studios. We placed the 2 seats against the bright window. Smartness. Haha! we also had some problems with the kinos. Some of the bulbs were blown and we had to do with nonsense half lit kinos. But we somehow managed arh.
And we learnt how to do cross lighting with 2 1Ks. whooo!

the guest speaker is quite cool arh. He quite stylo also hor. ahah!

anyways... i'm grateful that bertrand actually got his friend to come teach us some lights.
